“Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person’s life” – Jackie Chan

On November 13, people from across the globe and from all walks of life will fulfill acts of kindness in honour of World Kindness Day. No matter how big or small the gesture, this treasured day will be spent spreading love to friends, family and to those who need it most.

Whether it be sending an uplifting message to a close pal, sharing a compliment with a co-worker, or treating a total stranger to a cup of coffee, this day is all about embracing kindness and making it the norm.

In celebration of World Kindness Day, iconic fashion label Black Pepper is on a quest to find New Zealand’s Kindest Person. An unsung hero among the community who has been caring, selfless and above all else expects nothing in return.

Each year, Black Pepper conducts a national search for the kindest people across the country, in hopes that sharing their stories will inspire others to live a little kinder each day.

After all, kindness is best when it is shared with those around us.

“We’re so proud to be conducting the search to find New Zealand’s Kindest Person,” says Black Pepper General Manager Rachel Digby. “It’s a privilege to be responsible for recognising the amazing people we have in our communities and sharing their stories with the world in hope that we can inspire acts of love, generosity and kindness.”

Does someone in your life come to mind? Perhaps a mother, daughter, sister or special friend who deserves a round of applause? Maybe it’s you?

Whoever it is, now is the time to share their story of kindness with the world.

Black Pepper will be awarding New Zealand’s Kindest Person with a cash prize of $2,000, and the nominator will receive a $500 Black Pepper voucher. Runners up will also receive prizes.
