1.Total prize pool, $125,000 cash must be won. Competition starts 22/06/2023 and closes 11:59pm 19/06/2024. Prizes drawn 3:00pm AEST at Handling Matters, 40/1-5 Thew Parade Cromer NSW 2099, Australia as follows: 21/06/2024 – Two separate prizes to be awarded, First Prize – 1 x $100,000, Second Prize – 1 x $25,000. 2.Prizes will be delivered as a cheque to the prize winners via registered post. Winners will have until the 25/09/2024 by 5:00pm AEST to claim their prizes. If the prize is unclaimed an ‘unclaimed prize draw’ will be drawn on the 02/10/2024 at 3:00pm AEDT at Handling Matters, 40/1-5 Thew Parade Cromer NSW 2099, Australia. Orders returned under the Direct Group Money-Back Guarantee, or cancelled orders, subject to state regulations, may lose their status as eligible competition entries. It will be at the promoter’s discretion as to whether such entries remain valid.

3.The Promoter reserves the right, to verify the validity of any entrant (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an order that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. The Promoter reserves the right, to the fullest extent permitted by law and subject to state regulations, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

Winners will be notified by phone, mail and email by 28/06/2024. If needed, Winner(s) of the unclaimed prize draw will be notified by phone, mail and email by 08/10/2024. Winners list will be published on our website by 17/07/2024. If needed, the ‘unclaimed prize draw’ will be published on our website by 16/10/2024.

5. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

6.No correspondence will be entered in to regarding the draw. We reserve the right to feature photographs, names and locations of prize winners in accordance with our privacy policy. Entry is open to all residents of Australia and New Zealand, aged 18 years and over, except employees of the promoter, Direct Group Pty Ltd (ABN: 45 065 432 199) and associated companies.

  • Entry is only open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years or older (unless otherwise stated in the promotional material).
  • Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.   • The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process including but not limited to tampering by way of use of techniques designed to avoid the payment of SMS/190 call costs or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  • Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
  • If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
  • Each promotion starts and finishes on the times and dates advertised on the relevant promotional material. To be eligible, entrants must follow the entry instructions set out on the relevant promotional material (by the closing date/time indicated).
  • Any applicable entry requirements or limitations will be specified in the relevant promotional material (with the details on how to enter). In the event that multiple entries are permitted, each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
  • If a draw is to take place, the draw will take place at the Promoter’s office on the date and time advertised in the relevant promotional material.
  • All winners will be notified in writing within two business days of the draw and any Australian winners from South Australia (of prizes valued at over $250) will be published in The Australian on the date advertised in the relevant promotional material. All Australian winners’ names will be published online at www.readersdigest.com.au on the date advertised in the relevant promotional material.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The number of prizes available and their individual value will be advertised in the relevant promotional material.
  • If for any reason a winner does not take a prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or an element of the prize) will be forfeited.
  • If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
  • Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
  • Any cash prizes will be awarded in the form of a cheque or by electronic funds transfer to the winner’s nominated bank account (in the local currency of the winner).
  • In the event that a draw takes place, if necessary, a draw for any unclaimed prizes will then take place no earlier than three months after the original draw. Winners will be notified in writing within two business days of the draw and any South Australian winners (of prizes valued at over $250) will be published in The Australian within two weeks of the draw. All Australian winners’ names will be published online at www.readersdigest.com.au on the date advertised in the relevant promotional material.
  • Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting the promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

  • If entry is via phone, the phone number will be specified in the promotional material. Call cost from landline phones will not exceed 55c, however, calls from mobile and pay phones may attract a higher rate.
  • All entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotion database and NOT at the time of transmission by the entrant.
  • The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter a promotion repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.

Caption Competition

  • This competition is open to residents of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines only. All entries must be received no later than the last day of each competition month.

To be eligible to enter the competition, you must reply in accordance with the conditions specified in this promotion.   • Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • Entry is open to persons over 18 years of age and residents of Australia and New Zealand only.
  • This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on its literary and creative merit in answering the question provided. The judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of the competition will be final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
