From 42 x 19mm batten timber, cut three 1000mm rails and five 450mm crosspieces, position them in a lattice pattern and secure with 30 x 2mm bullethead nails.
1. Assemble the frame

ASSEMBLE THE FRAME then lightly sand all the surfaces with 180 grit abrasive paper.
TIP If the utensils include heavy pots, use 30mm x 8g timber screws instead of nails for extra strength.
2. Apply the finish

APPLY THE FINISH by positioning the frame on timber offcuts for access to all surfaces, use a brush to apply primer then two coats of semi gloss white enamel, sanding between coats with 180 grit abrasive paper.
3. Hang the rack

HANG THE RACK by cutting the rope in half and tying the ends to the corners using two half hitches. Loop the rope onto the ceiling hooks then position S hooks to evenly distribute the weight of the utensils.
