Milford Sounds

Located in the Fiordlands, and with towering mountain peaks inspiring inevitable 'Lord of the Rings' references, Milford Sounds is home to some of New Zealand’s most dramatic scenery. A utopia for nature lovers, the fiords can be explored by kayak or cruise ship, and hiking enthusiasts with a little more time on their hands can take in these otherworldly sights via the four-day walk along the world famous Milford track, described by writer Rudyard Kipling as the ‘finest walk in the world.’
