The Ultimate Shoe Rack Hack

The key to an uncluttered home is to incorporate smart storage in every space.

With a little ingenuity, any free space can be modified to accomodate storage. This DIY shoe rack for instance makes use of free wall space near the floor. It's unobstrusive and extremely useful in keeping the hallway clear off clutter.

To install this handy shoe rack, make or buy a coat rack.  Measure the length of the largest shoes and affix the rack to the wall at a height allows shoes to hang without touching the floor.

Take this storage solution one step further by mounting a second coat rack on the opposite wall.
