Roaches are most active at night, hiding in wall cavities, subfloors or roofing during the day. They have a rapid breeding cycle that can spiral out of control if left unchecked.

PHYSICAL CONTROL
Water is essential for cockroach survival so check dripping taps and wipe kitchen and bathroom sinks dry. Keep food in sealed containers, disposing of scraps properly and cleaning surfaces thoroughly to limit food sources.

NATURAL CONTROL
Buy sticky traps and place them in areas of high activity. Make a trap by greasing the rim and inside of a round plastic container with butter. Roaches will be attracted to it, fall inside and be unable to escape.

CHEMICAL CONTROL
Pest controllers spray insecticide at entry points and around drains to stop insects entering. Baits provide poison food that roaches spread through the population. Apply low-toxicity Permethrin dust on breeding sites.
