The best solution for a slamming door is to fit a door closer, which slows down the speed at which the door shuts.
Fix a door that tends to slam
![]() STEP 1: A template is always supplied with a door closer. Decide whether you want the door to open to 100º (straight into the room) or 180º (flat back to the hinge wall), although this will depend on the type of hinge fitted to the door. Use a bradawl or a pencil to mark through the appropriate spots on the template.
